Our second-half comeback
We’ve gotten a lot of calls about purchasing a copy of the “paper” from people wanting to remember forever the excitement of the Jayhawks’ incredible comeback to top UNC and win the NCAA tournament.
As our regular readers know, we don’t have a print paper. But we also appreciate the significance of that moment for this team, this town, and Jayhawk fans nationwide — and we really just hate disappointing people.
We initially launched print posters on Wednesday, but the out-of-state printer canceled all the orders without even giving us notice. We were unable to convince them that we do indeed own the copyrights to our own work, and it was a rough first half.
Fortunately, we’ve got some good role models to look up to as far as second-half comebacks go.
We’re now working with the champions at Printing Solutions in North Lawrence to bring you not two, but * three * stunning 12-by-18-inch commemorative posters so that you can forever remember KU’s beautiful NCAA tournament victory, as well as the Final Four win that led up to it.
These folks are true MVPs, and we appreciate their help to get us up and running so quickly.

Here’s how the site works:
1. Create a quick login with your email address and a password you create;
2. Select whether you want to pick up your posters at 725 N. Second St. in North Lawrence (map below) or have them shipped to you anywhere in the country;
3. Choose which glorious posters — printed by local printers, containing local people, stories and photos, created by local reporters and photographers — that you would like to grace your home, workspace or other venue.
4. Posters are $15 if picked up, $20 shipped. Click “I just want one” if you only want one of the designs, or “I want them all!” if you want a set of two or more. Each additional poster is $10. Get the whole set of three shipped to you for $40, or pick them up for $35.
The first poster features a stunning aerial photo of celebrations on Massachusetts Street and a photo of a group of fans, along with the story encapsulating the crowd’s reaction after that final buzzer.
The second poster features a photo of the champions themselves, backed by thousands of fans at Memorial Stadium upon their return from New Orleans. It includes a story that quotes Coach Bill Self and several of the players. Smaller photos show Ochai Agbaji holding the trophy, and the coach.
The third poster, which includes more photos than text, captures the pure Jayhawk joy of fans rushing onto Massachusetts Street following the Final Four victory over Miami.
The posters all feature a small, scannable QR code that will take you straight to the page at this link, so you can revisit all of The Lawrence Times’ stories, videos and photos leading up to that historic moment anytime you’d like. None of the posters will actually be printed with large John Brown watermarks.
Thank you so much for your support and patience! We apologize sincerely for any orders that were canceled by the other site, and we’re so grateful that you were interested in the first place. We weren’t even given the full names or email addresses of any of those who ordered, so we are unable to reach them directly.
We hope our most passionate readers and the Jayhawks’ most passionate fans will enjoy and appreciate these prints.
